The Town of Gila Bend General Plan is a guiding document used to foster sustainability and economic growth, revitalization of existing properties, and strategic infrastructure investments. The maps and policies within this plan constitute the future strategic direction of the Town, and will be valid for a period of ten (10) years (with the ability to amend elements as needed).
The Town Staff, the Planning and Zoning Commission, Town Council, and other advisory entities within the Town will use this document as a guide to make sure that future proposals and/or plans related to land use, circulation, public services and facilities, housing, economic development and energy, are not only compatible with General Plan maps and policies, but are also closely coordinated.
The Town of Gila Bend General Plan not only meets, but exceeds the requirements of Arizona Revised Statutes (ARS) for General Plans, ARS §9- 461.05.
