The Town of Gila Bend has been doing the Pitch-In as a community service project for more than 20 years. This usually takes place in the Fall.
This event involves the Town staff, residents and volunteers who come in from other cities and towns, as well as, faith-based groups, schools and local clubs who participate in several concurrent clean-up projects around Gila Bend. Afterward, the Town will do a BBQ lunch like hot dogs and hamburgers with chips and drinks, to thank it's volunteers for all the hard work!
Participation is open to ages 12 and older, however, those under the age of 18 must have parental approval and a waiver filled out and signed by their Parent(s)/Legal Guardian(s).
