This 8-session series is for parents and caregivers of children birth to 5 years old and emphasizes positive parent-child relationships. Parents will learn to encourage cooperative behaviors by providing a consistent, loving environment. Topics include: Child & Brain Development/ Understanding Young Children's Behavior/ Building Self-Esteem/ Family Communication/ Helping Children Cooperate/ Positive Discipline/ Social and Emotional Development. This workshop is supported by First Things First, and is a partnership between the Gila Bend FRC and Arizona's Children Association.

For families and individuals who are in need. Open to the public. Free fresh fruits and vegetables provided by a partnership between Gila Bend and the St. Mary's Food Bank. Drop-off between 7 and 8 AM in the front of the Community Center off of Euclid. During the COVID19 Pandemic, we require that everyone please stay in their vehicles. A staff member will come to you to collect your basket and gather your information. Also, make sure that you have cleared space in your trunk for the food basket. Pick up is usually between 11am and 11:30am! Drop-off and pick-up will be off Hunt Street.

Registration is open for the Moderna Vaccine for individuals 18+. To register for an appointment, you will need to call 928-683-6502 or stop in at the Family Resource Center. The deadline to register is April 29! This clinic is being provided through a partnership with the University of Arizona College of Public Health, and Maricopa County Public Health. *COVID-19 vaccination will help protect you from getting COVID-19 and has been proven to prevent serious illness, hospitalization and death from the virus. You may have some side effects after vaccination, which are normal signs that your body is building protection. These may affect your ability to do daily activities, but they should go away in a few days. Some people have no side effects. At the time of your first dose of the Moderna Vaccine, you will be scheduled for your second dose that will take place on June 4, 2021!
