Responsibilities
The Finance Department is responsible for overseeing and commanding strong fiscal stewardship of the public’s money. Some of the department's services include, but are not limited to:
Accounting and
financial reporting
Conformance to legal requirements and to generally accepted financial management principles
Debt management and capital financing
Procurement of materials and services
Risk and inventory management
Treasury services
Utility billing (Water only)
Works closely with the town’s contracted Financial Advisor as a continuous improvement initiative
